February started off with a pleasant ‘bang!’ as we had 35% more visitors to our IBS booth than last year, so take this as a positive sign for 2023.

This Thursday, February 2, is Groundhog Day across America.

Welcome to 2023! We all remember when the world stopped turning in early 2020 with the triple whammy – COVID-19, economic recession, and general malaise and pandemic.

Last week we were putting up the Thanksgiving décor, this week it’s down and back into storage for the year, and over the weekend started to bring out the Christmas decorations.

Last month was the 35th Carrera Panamericana, the annual week-long 2,000 mile race from southern to northern Mexico.

I am pleased to say we have received more than 75 entries for our 37th Annual Design Competition to recognize outstanding design in furniture components, hardware and accessories.

If it is Labor Day weekend that must mean it is almost submission time for our 37th annual Design Competition.

As work spaces have shrunk in recent years, work surfaces have followed suit, and our lovable and venerable PCS units have shrunk along with them.

A few weeks ago we exhibited at NeoCon, the giant annual Chicago show featuring the latest and greatest in office design.

If it is June that must mean it is almost time for NEOCON, the huge office furnishings show held at the Merchandise Mart in Chicago! Indeed, June 13-15 will mark the 53rd NEOCON.

Wow, another month has come and gone. 2022 is moving right along and we are enjoying it so far!

Wow! Our exhibit at IBS last month was a huge hit!

Our first event of the year is just a week away, IBS February 8-10 in Orlando!

It’s the start of a new year and we hope to be getting off to a terrific start.

Here we all are again – just a few weeks to Christmas and the end of 2021.

What a month November is shaping up to be! Thanksgiving, of course, is Thursday the 25th, but a week or so before please come by our booth at BDNY in New York City.

Next Monday, October 4, is opening day at NEOCON, the giant office furniture industry trade show in Chicago, back after a 16 month COVID-19 break.

Labor Day weekend coming up! The traditional end of Summer, celebrated with cookouts, last days at the beach or mountains, and back to school.

We exhibited last month at AWFS in Las Vegas, our first trade show in nearly two years. And had no idea what to expect.

Wow! Hard to believe half of 2021 is over, and it is Fourth of July weekend already.

I hope everyone enjoyed a relaxing Memorial Day weekend and is looking forward to a wonderful Summer.

Spring is here! Our little flower bed out front is blooming and looking sassy, the sky is blue, a few (more) orders are coming in, and things seem to be looking up for us here, and indeed, for us all nationwide.

“One swallow does not a Summer make” as the old saying goes, but it appears the one swallow is a happy swallow and other happy swallows will be following behind soon.

Our country began 2021 with a Presidential inauguration, an incoming administration full of new ideas and new attitudes, and in this now second year of coronavirus pandemic, a positive outlook to bring hope and confidence to the nation.

A very, very, very Happy New Year! After 2020 it has got to be better.

It is hard for me (anyway) to believe that 40 years ago this month we sold our first wire access grommet.

A very Happy Halloween to you and yours, and especially to all the kids wearing costumes and out and about in the neighborhood, giddily trick or treating.

It is a pleasure to pass on that our racing hero, Colton Herta, won the IndyCar race on September 13th for his second win of 2020, and now lays 4th in the overall standings with two races left, both next weekend, October 3 and 4.

Even in these cloudy times there are a few silver linings

Summer 2020 reminds me of Summer 1975 when the movie “Jaws’, about a marauding shark terrorizing the beaches of New England, became a blockbuster.

We all know someone affected by breast cancer. Perhaps even one of our own family members.

We are a month into the new year and a new decade. Goodbye 2010’s, hello 2020’s.

Wow! Where did that decade go? Seems like just yesterday the ball in Times Square was dropping to usher in 2010.

2019 was an interesting year. We grew a bit, had great receptions to our new products, our trade show exhibits, and our brochures and expanding social media efforts.

If it is November, it must mean time for the venerable BDNY trade show. This year it is Sunday, November 10 and Monday the 11th at New York’s Jacob Javits Convention Center.

Seems to me we say it every Labor Day – “where did the summer go?” Gone in a flash … each and every summer, too!

June is a busy, busy month with two spectacular trade shows where we’ll be displaying our latest and greatest ideas in furniture hardware

A few years back, while driving in Carrera Panamericana with a scheduled hour rest stop at the tiny Mexican village of Chapa de Mota some 200 Miles north of Mexico City, we got the most unique request. “Would you buy our village an ambulance?”

Wow! What a stunning month of racing March has been for the auto race teams we sponsor. In fact, incredible is even better!
