Hello Friends:

Fall is coming nationwide … so far, here in the Los Angeles area, it has been 72 and sunny every day … and we hope it stays that way for another month or two.

We keep reading about Artificial Intelligence (AI) and how it is either going to be mankind’s positive future or massive failure. Seems to me it can be very helpful in certain ways, such as design and marketing. Critics claim it will cost the economy millions of jobs. That’s what they said about the introduction of computers and they were correct; some jobs were eliminated, but millions of new jobs working with computers took their place. Let’s see how it works out. Stay tuned!

All the entries for our 38th annual Design Competition are in. The judges will decide, and first-place awards will be announced in early December.

An event we are proud to support is the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, seeking a cure for breast cancer. Here in the Los Angeles area, the annual “More than Pink Walk” will be on Sunday, October 29. This year, our goal is to raise $2500; your tax-deductible donation in any amount would help the cause.

We all look forward to the day cancer is a distant memory.

Cordially,
Douglas A.J. Mockett
