“One swallow does not a Summer make” as the old saying goes, but it appears the one swallow is a happy swallow and other happy swallows will be following behind soon.

Dear Friends:

“One swallow does not a Summer make” as the old saying goes, but it appears the one swallow is a happy swallow and other happy swallows will be following behind soon.

We have seen indications the pandemic/recession may not be coming to an immediate end, but that there is light at the end of the tunnel. Jobless numbers are down, production in some sectors is rising, and it appears by mid or end of Summer we should be on the uptick.

Like academia does, we used to offer a 3 month paid sabbatical after 5 years of employment. An opportunity to shift gears, take a new look at life, study, travel, read, broaden your horizons. Worked out great.

So, after 40 years, my turn. And, you know, it is not all bad.

Now coming to the end of month 2, I have been able to think about family and friends and biz, thought about new ways to do old things, had a few choice cigars, some nice rum, and been soaking up the sun with Rita. Actually nice to get to know one another better.

It has made me sharper, more focused, more eager to share the ‘brilliant’ concepts I’ve come up with. Plus looking forward to implementing some new ideas.

Try it yourself and LMK how it goes. Trust me, it will be a good experience!

Cordially,

Douglas A.J. Mockett
