1) Mexican Pavilion–Italy

Loquer Design

This was the project winner of the 2015 Milan World Expo, whose theme was “Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life”. The overlapping leaf shape pavilion designed by the architecture firm, Loguer Design, was inspired by Mexico's most famous food: corn. The layers resemble the dried corn husks.

 

2) Hotel Marques de Riscal – Spain

Hotel Marques

This is a luxurious vineyard hotel designed by Frank Gehry. The hotel's contorted and flowing rooftop is made of titanium and stainless steel. The brilliant colors displayed in the curves were by design, each meant to represent a different element of the vineyard. The pink to represent the wine, the gold to represent the mesh around Marques de Riscal’s wine bottles, and the silver to represent the bottles' capsules.

 

3) Terminal Connection– Denmark

Terminal Connection

Designed by Danielsen Architecture, this project is considered to be a great example of an architectural solution that meets clients requirements and adds stunning technical enhancements all within the confines of government regulation to make expressive improvements in a facility.

 

4) Universum® Bremen – Germany

Universum Bremen

This peculiar design that resembles a mix between a whale and mussel was designed by the architect Thomas Klumpp. The Universum Bremen Museum receives an average of 450,000 visitors annually, and its exhibits are related to mankind, earth, and the cosmos.

 

5) Walt Disney Concert Hall – United States

Disney Concert

Designed by the architect Frank Gehry, the Walt Disney Concert Hall is known for being one of the most acoustically sophisticated concert halls in the wold. Its curves are made out of stainless steel and its main auditorium is hardwood-paneled.
